Sawai Madhopur Panchayat Election 2026: Reservation Status Revealed for Pradhan and Zila Parishad Seats

Sawai Madhopur. The administrative landscape for the upcoming 2026 Panchayati Raj elections in Sawai Madhopur has been finalized following the completion of the reservation lottery process. District authorities have officially declared the reservation status for eight Pradhan positions and 31 Zila Parishad wards, setting the stage for local political activity to intensify across the region.

According to the newly released list, exactly half of the eight Pradhan seats have been reserved for women. The Pradhan positions in Sawai Madhopur, Bamanwas, and Bonli have been designated for unreserved women, while the seat in Malarna Dungar is reserved for Scheduled Caste women. The remaining four positions fall under the open category, with Gangapur City designated as unreserved open, Chauth ka Barwara as OBC open, Khandar as SC open, and Wazirpur as ST open.

The electoral process will involve a significant voter base of over 8.26 lakh citizens who are eligible to cast their ballots. These voters will determine the leadership for one Zila Pramukh, eight Pradhans, 31 Zila Parishad members, and 107 Panchayat Samiti members. Additionally, the election will cover the selection of 263 Sarpanch positions and various ward panch roles. Demographic data indicates that Bamanwas Panchayat Samiti holds the largest voter count at 131,560, whereas Bonli has the smallest electorate with 85,034 registered voters.

The reservation status for the 31 Zila Parishad wards has also been clearly defined, providing clarity for potential candidates who have been waiting for these details to finalize their campaign strategies. With the reservation status now public, political aspirants are expected to begin their outreach efforts in their respective constituencies, focusing on the specific demographic requirements of each ward and Panchayat Samiti.
