A Mother's Nightmare: RPF Saves Infant Left Behind on Moving Train at Sawai Madhopur

Sawai Madhopur. A distressing incident at the Sawai Madhopur railway station on Tuesday turned into a testament of swift emergency response when a mother was separated from her infant child. The woman, who was attempting to board the Barauni-Bandra Avadh Express, managed to place her 11-month-old baby and luggage inside a general coach. However, as she prepared to step onto the train, the locomotive unexpectedly pulled away from the platform, leaving her behind in a state of panic.

Witnessing the train depart with her child still inside, the mother immediately sought help from the station staff and the Railway Protection Force (RPF). Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the station authorities acted with urgency. A control room alert was promptly issued to the RPF and Government Railway Police (GRP) teams stationed at the next stop, Lakheri in Bundi district. Detailed information regarding the coach and seat location was shared to ensure the child could be identified and secured immediately upon arrival.

As the Avadh Express pulled into the Lakheri station, RPF personnel were already waiting on the platform. The officers boarded the designated coach and successfully located the infant, ensuring the child and the family's belongings were safely removed from the train. This rapid coordination prevented a potential tragedy and provided immediate relief to the station administration and the anxious family.

Meanwhile, in Sawai Madhopur, the mother was comforted by railway officials and arranged passage on the Jodhpur-Indore Ranthambore Express to reach Lakheri. Upon her arrival, the RPF completed the necessary verification procedures before reuniting the mother with her child. The emotional reunion on the platform was marked by tears of joy as the mother embraced her baby. She expressed deep gratitude to the RPF personnel, whom she described as guardian angels for their decisive and compassionate actions during her moment of extreme crisis.
