Tragedy on Anniversary Eve: Bharatpur Man Found Dead as Wife Disappears with Child

Bharatpur. A somber atmosphere has gripped the Rasala Mohalla neighborhood following the discovery of a 32-year-old man who allegedly ended his life on Friday night. The incident occurred just hours before the couple was set to observe their wedding anniversary, leaving the local community in shock. Authorities were alerted to the scene after the man was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his residence, prompting an immediate investigation by the Mathura Gate police station.

The victim, identified as Amit, had been married to his wife, Neha, since September 2018. According to statements provided by the victim's brother, Sumit, the marital relationship had been strained for several years due to an alleged extramarital affair between Neha and a neighbor named Raj Diwakar. The family claims that despite multiple interventions and attempts to resolve the conflict, the situation continued to deteriorate, placing immense psychological pressure on the deceased.

Family members have leveled serious allegations against the wife and her alleged partner, accusing them of systematically harassing Amit. They claim that complaints made to the wife's maternal family were ignored, further isolating the victim and deepening his distress. The gravity of the situation became apparent when, following the discovery of the body, it was found that Neha had disappeared from the home, taking their seven-year-old son, Arpit, with her.

Police officials arrived at the scene shortly after the discovery to secure the premises and transport the body to the district hospital for a post-mortem examination. Assistant Sub-Inspector Shiv Lal, representing the Mathura Gate police, confirmed that a case has been registered based on the report filed by the victim's brother. The investigation is currently focused on the allegations of domestic harassment and the circumstances surrounding the wife's sudden departure with the child.

On Saturday, the body was released to the family following the completion of the medical examination. Law enforcement authorities are now conducting a thorough inquiry into all aspects of the case, including the reported illicit relationship and the potential role of external pressure in the victim's decision. As the investigation proceeds, police are working to locate the missing wife and child to clarify their involvement and ensure the safety of the minor.
