Over 450 students from 32 institutions gathered at S.S. Jain Subodh PG College to commit to a drug-free nation and discuss the vision for a developed India by 2047.

Jaipur, July 17. A significant gathering took place at S.S. Jain Subodh PG College in Jaipur, where hundreds of students convened for the Viksit Bharat Youth Connect Program-2026. The event, organized under the aegis of the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the National Service Scheme, and My Bharat, focused on the critical mission of building a drug-free nation. Approximately 450 participants, including volunteers, program officers, and youth ambassadors from 32 different colleges and universities, attended the session with great enthusiasm.

Jaipur MP Manju Sharma, who graced the occasion as the chief guest, emphasized the pivotal role of the younger generation in nation-building. She stated that a developed India can only be built upon the foundation of a conscious, cultured, and substance-free youth population. Her address encouraged students to take ownership of their future and contribute positively to societal progress.

Principal Prof. Renu Joshi expressed pride in hosting such a vital initiative, urging the attendees to remain vigilant against social evils. She highlighted that personal responsibility and community awareness are essential for fostering a healthy and responsible citizenry. Regional Director of the National Service Scheme, S.P. Bhatnagar, explained that the program aims to align the youth with the vision of a developed India by 2047, encouraging them to become active participants in the national anti-drug campaign.

State Coordinator Dr. K.K. Kumawat provided insights into the ongoing Nayi Kiran campaign, which is currently active across 354 colleges in Rajasthan. This initiative serves as a cornerstone for promoting healthy lifestyles and combating substance abuse among students. Youth icon Ankit Sharma further motivated the crowd, describing today's youth as the primary change-makers of the present era. He urged them to transform the Prime Minister's vision into a mass movement.

The event concluded with a collective oath taken by all participants to work toward a drug-free India and contribute to the national goals for 2047. Discussions throughout the day covered topics such as leadership, social participation, and public awareness. The program saw the presence of numerous academic leaders and faculty members who reaffirmed their commitment to supporting student-led social initiatives.
