Bylines and accountability

Stories should identify the reporter or contributing desk when that information is available. Desk-written or migrated reports may use the Jaipur Times byline. A byline identifies responsibility for the report; it does not replace editorial review.

Reporter standards

Reporters are expected to verify names, locations, dates and material claims, disclose conflicts to editors, protect confidential sources where justified and avoid accepting benefits that could influence coverage.
