Bharatpur's Manisha Chahar Gears Up for National Arm Wrestling Glory

Bharatpur. Bharatpur police officer and accomplished athlete Manisha Chahar is set to showcase her strength on the national stage once again. An Assistant Sub-Inspector with the local police force, Chahar has been officially selected to represent the Rajasthan Police women's arm wrestling team in the 50-kilogram weight category. This selection follows an order issued by the Additional Director General of Police for Armed Battalions, recognizing her exceptional performance in previous competitive seasons.

The upcoming 75th All India Police Wrestling Cluster is scheduled to take place from September 23 to September 27 in Madhuban, Karnal, Haryana. Chahar will be competing against top police athletes from across the country, aiming to add to her already impressive collection of accolades. Her inclusion in the state squad is seen as a testament to her consistent dedication to both her professional duties and her athletic pursuits.

Chahar’s career is marked by significant achievements, including securing eight national-level medals, comprising three gold, two silver, and three bronze. Her dominance in the sport is further highlighted by her record of winning three consecutive gold medals at the National Open Arm Wrestling Championship. These victories have solidified her reputation as a formidable competitor in the arm wrestling circuit.

Beyond her personal success, Chahar has been recognized by the police department for her contributions to sports, earning two gallantry promotions to date. Reports indicate that a proposal for a third promotion based on her sporting excellence is currently under consideration.
