Nagaur Nursing College Launches Green Initiative Dedicated to Mothers

NAGAUR. The Government Nursing College in Nagaur recently launched a significant environmental initiative titled 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' to foster a greener future for Rajasthan. The campaign was inaugurated under the leadership of Dr. R.K. Agarwal, the Chief Medical Officer at the Government P.J.N.L.N. Hospital, who emphasized the dual importance of honoring one's mother while actively contributing to ecological preservation.

During the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Agarwal urged every individual to plant at least one sapling as a tribute to their mother. He stressed that the act of planting is only the beginning, and the true value lies in the long-term commitment to nurturing and protecting the tree as it grows. This message resonated deeply with the students and faculty members present at the event.

College Principal Khemaram Loyal welcomed the attendees and framed the initiative as a collective responsibility rather than a mere campaign. He highlighted that such efforts are essential to ensuring a clean, healthy, and safe environment for future generations. He encouraged the nursing students to take the lead in expanding this green cover across the region.

The event saw active participation from a wide range of medical professionals and staff, including Dr. Anil, Dr. Surendra Singh Rathore, and Vice Principal Vinod Vyas. Faculty members such as Vimala, Mahipal Kudi, Mahendra Sain, Annapurna, Neelam, Sumitra, Kailash Nath Vyas, Prithvisingh, and Gumanaram joined the students in planting saplings across the college campus. The participants collectively pledged to maintain these plants and spread awareness about the campaign within the community.

As the program concluded, the attendees reaffirmed their dedication to the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' movement. They resolved to carry the message of environmental stewardship to the wider public, aiming to inspire more citizens to contribute to the state's ecological health through consistent plantation efforts.
